Camelot Bingo
There is a little known tale, buried among the hundreds of legends surrounding the story of Camelot and the Knights of the Round Table. King Arthur, in all his noble glory, decided one day to entertain the women of Camelot.
Calling on his advisor, Merlin, they sat together and discussed what could possibly be entertaining enough to capture the attention of all the women. All of a sudden, Merlin snapped his fingers and said, "Bingo! They shall all play BINGO!" King Arthur accepted the idea, and on the designated day, all the knights moved aside to let their ladies sit at the Round Table and play their game.
The day was filled with excitement as winners yelled out B-I-N-G-O! and jumped up to claim their prizes, while telling their favorite bingo jokes. Bingo became a favorite pastime and weekly tradition, eventually becoming part of the Camelot legends.
